Fenway Tree Lighting 2023

The Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services, Fenway Civic Association, and Samuels & Associates invite you to the 2023 Annual Fenway Tree Lighting.

This event is free and open to the public, and will take place rain or shine.

4:30 - 5:45PM: Pre-Event Festivities at Fenway Community Center

Join the Fenway Community Center for a festive kick off to the Tree Lighting, where attendees will have the opportunity to make holiday crafts, spend time with neighbors, and take photos with the Red Sox's Wally and Tessie.

This year, in partnership with the Boston Public Health Commission and the Fenway Civic Association, the FCC will also be hosting a Winter Clothing Drive. Drop off times include:

• Monday and Tuesdays from 11/13 through 12/19 @ 12-4pm
• Thursdays from 11/16, 11/30 through 12/21 @ 12-7pm
• Saturdays from 11/18, 12/2 through 12/16 @ 10am-12pm

Please bring new or clean, gently work clothing and shoes - new warm winter clothing is especially encouraged. New undergarments and socks will also be accepted.

6-6:45PM: Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services, Fenway Civic Association, and Samuels & Associates invite you to the 2023 Annual Fenway Tree Lighting, hosted outside of the Kelleher Rose Garden, across from 77 Park Drive. Hear from elected officials and neighborhood representatives, enjoy performances from Boston Children's Chorus and Grooversity, and celebrate the holiday season with neighbors. Cider, cocoa, and refreshments will be served!

6:45-7PM: Luminary Walk to The Rink 401 Park

Following the tree lighting ceremony, attendees will be provided with a lantern and are invited to join on a luminary walk down Park Drive to The Rink 401 Park. The walk will include a stop at The Fenway Tree Farm, located at The Station, where Zinneken's will be serving free waffles. In addition, Jewish Arts Collaborative will be on site with their installations Brighter Revealed and Brighter Ignited, and community members will have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work, and participate in holiday crafts.

7-9PM: Free Skate at The Rink 401 Park

Join us at The Fenway's ultimate winter destination, The Rink, for a community skate night! Skating will be complementary, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own skates, or rent on site.
