FEATURE/FACILITATOR BIOS:
Kenn Crestwell is a non-binary visual artist and poet who has been writing and making art for as long as she can remember. Kenn grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland and moved to Boston for college in 2015 where she has lived ever since. Kenn considers herself a storyteller in every medium of her art making. She tells stories in even the most abstract painting, and strives to use her words the same way she uses a paintbrush. As a poet, Kenn is inspired by the purity of simple, everyday language, and that sometimes even the most unorthodox words can be the most poignant.
Mithsuca Berry - Artist. Educator. Friend.
Growing up in Boston since their toddle years, they’ve grown to watch it develop and change. Getting closer and closer to understanding what it means to exist in the vessel they do. With that has come art work that looks into creating space. Creating space to fill with black queer stories - through word of mouth, text, paint etc. a creation of representation their younger self always deserved.”
