Description: Experience USS Constitution in a new way this summer – as a recruit on her historic gun crew! In this family-friendly program, you will learn about the tasks and skills required to make USS Constitution a successful warship. Learn the mechanics of cannons in the Museum and put your gun crew to the test by firing an Alka-seltzer cannon. Then, on board USS Constitution, work together to pass powder between the decks, run a gun drill, and visit behind-the-scenes spaces on the Ship. Learn about Constitution‘s mighty firepower in this active, fun, and educational program!


This program is free to the public and space is limited. Please email [email protected] by August 2 to register for the experience. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
