tentative plan:
Fri 9/30 - leave 6am and head to Millinocket, ME in 6hrs. Explore lakes and easy walks and stay overnight (Katahdin Inn in Millinocket)
Sat 10/01 - Baxter SP hike Chimney Pond Trail (6.3mi) and Sandy Stream Trail (1.3mi), explore the Moosehead lake area if possible and stay overnight (Katahdin Inn in Millinocket)
Sun 10/02 - head to Acadia NP in 2.5hrs. Explore Acadia NP and a couple hikes. Camp at Blackwoods camp ground (1 campsite already reserved)
Mon 10/3 - leave early AM, and hike Mount Megunticook trail (2.6mi) in Cadmen ME. Stop over for lunch in Portland ME, and arrive back in Boston by 7-8pm.

- stays for Fri and Sat nights still need to be booked - will be either camping or a motel/lodge, if everything is not sold out already.
- Hikes will be a moderate/slow pace as a group with many picture stops.
