Fortunes rise, empires fall, and we all experience the turning wheel of fate at some time. Join the Chelmsford Community Concert Band in a concert featuring the vagaries of Fortune, Chance, and Luck, featuring a full performance of Orff’s Carmina Burana.
The concert begins at 2:00pm Sunday, October 29 at the Chelmsford Senior Center, 75 Groton Road. Although admission to the concert is free, donations are very gratefully accepted to help the band continue to purchase music, maintain instruments, compensate its directors, and pay for rehearsal space. Suggested donations are $5 for children and $10 for adults. Delicious home-baked goods will be also be available for a donation.
The Chelmsford Community Band was founded in 1972 and is a volunteer group of adult musicians who greatly enjoy bringing live music to the greater Chelmsford area. The concert band and jazz ensemble both perform several concerts throughout the year and on Chelmsford Common every summer. Look for them online at www.chelmsfordband.org, on Facebook at facebook.com/ChelmsfordCommunityBand, and on Twitter as @ChelmsfordBand.
