Fabulous French Desserts – Adult Cooking Class
Learn to make delectable French desserts at home!
Iconic French cuisine is famous for its eyecatching, decadent and delicious desserts. Join us for this hands-on class with Chef Clarisse and learn how to create two perfect French desserts in your home kitchen. We’ll make Financiers, a classic mini-cake or tea cake often resembling a bar of gold (hence the name), and Clafoutis, akin to a baked custard and always filled with fresh fruit. C’est Magnifique!
Bonus: These desserts are also gluten free!
As part of Powisset Farm’s Guest Chef Series, Fabulous French Desserts is taught by Chef Clarisse, who is from the countryside north of Paris, where she grew up cooking beside her mother and grandmother. After earning a degree in hospitality, apprenticing in Michelin 3-star restaurants, learning from a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, and working in fine dining kitchens in France and St. Barth’s, she moved to the U.S. to learn to speak English. Chef Clarisse says “French cooking is not difficult! Anyone can learn the techniques. All we need is to put our heart into it!”
