OUTDOOR PATIO SHOW!
With a background in classical music, jazz, improvisation, and folk traditions from all over the world, internationally-recognized klezmer ensemble Ezekiel’s Wheels brings passion, virtuosity, and contagious energy to an engaging contemporary perspective on traditional Jewish music.
Internationally-recognized klezmer ensemble Ezekiel’s Wheels brings passion, virtuosity, and contagious energy to every performance. The Wheels improvise with the intimacy of chamber music and the intensity of a rowdy dance band. They are equally at home on the stage of the International Jewish Music Festival, where judges heralded them as “a true musical democracy,” as in the classroom, where sixth-grade student Jonathan raised his hand to tell them, “Y’all got swag.”
Featuring original music and re-imaginings of traditional klezmer repertoire in both Yiddish and English, The Thread is the third studio album from the Wheels, following 2016's Turning Point and 2013's Transported.
Ezekiel's Wheels Klezmer Band is Abigale Reisman, Jonathan Cannon, Kirsten Lamb, Nat Seelen, and Pete Fanelli. When they're not performing together for concerts, weddings, parties, educational residencies, and festivals, they can be found sharing the stage with artists as varied as Eminem, Transiberian Orchestra, and Hugh Jackman.
