What exactly is a meteorologist and how do they make a forecast?

Join the Somerville Public Library and scientists from the Mount Washington Observatory for a conversation on meteorology and the extreme weather they are studying. Find out who these intrepid scientists are, how they collect data, and how they translate it into information we can use. Additionally we will learn about how climate change is impacting what they are studying.

This program is presented as part of Climate Preparedness Week - a week of learning, service, and actions to better prepare our communities for extreme weather events and the effects of climate change. This year's theme is The Planet's Health and Yours: Facing the Invisible Impacts of Climate Change.
