On Sunday, June 4th from 11am - 3pm, celebrate Pride at the Waterworks Museum by engaging in some colorful science and learning about the history and significance of the rainbow flag to the LGBTQ+ community.
See refraction in action as you make rainbows with prisms, spray bottles, and bubbles. Play some music and explore how sound travels through water on our Rainbow Water Xylophone. Use our watercolor paints and make a rainbow flag. We'll be reading The Rainbow Flag: Bold, Bright, and Beautiful at 12pm. Tie-dye following immediately after, until 2pm. Dye one of our scrunchies, bandanas, or bring your own cotton item. This event is Free of charge, Suggested Donation $5 and is recommended for ages 3+.
