ETI’s Dining in the Dark is an interactive dinner where guests dine blindfolded to shed preconceived notions of themselves and others. The purpose is not to offer an accurate portrayal of what it is like to be blind, but rather to place guests into an environment that facilitates reflection and discussion concerning biases. Our hope is that guests take their newfound insights and awareness and apply them in their everyday lives at home, at work, and in their communities.
This year’s Gala is expected to host 150 guests from several Government and Educational Institutions including the Boston Mayor’s office, Massachusetts office on disability and Harvard University among others. In the table below are outlined some of the ways for you to be involved in the event.
We hope that you join us for this amazing experience! Your support will enable us to continue our work of creating inclusive spaces, changing the narrative surrounding disability, and empowering youth with visual impairment to be change makers.
