This queer epic centers around an outcasted Gretel and her journey from stock fairy tale character to woke badass capable of writing her own story, thank you very much. In an intimate evening hosted by Gretel's self-appointed guardian, a witch called Frau Trude, expect to be fed a genderbent collage of devised tales using everyday objects that's sure to satiate even the pickiest of eaters. Together we journey from familiar places inhabited by needy frog princes and childhood disobedience to unfamiliar places with fur disguises, a fat-sipping cat, and a sausage that cooks. Bring your sweet tooth.
a grimm thing will run for one weekend, from March 8 through March 10, at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, Nicholas Martin Hall, 527 Tremont Street in Boston’s South End.
Tickets cost $18. For tickets or more information, the public is invited to call the box office at 617.933.8600 or visit www.entropytheatre.com.
