In this workshop, we will empower and enhance our breathwork practices with a look at the anatomy of breath. Using high-resolution 3D models from Complete Anatomy software, we will see and explore the real pathways of breath through the body, which we will immediately put to use through meditative breath regulation practices (pranayama). You will leave this workshop feeling deeply rested, with a new appreciation of your breath and gain new skills including:
*Breathwork to calm the nervous system
*Meditative exercises to improve focus and cognitive performance
*Pranayama to access deepened and expanded states of consciousness
*Incorporating effective breath practices into your daily life
*Maintaining the health of your respiratory system
Breath practices will include:
1. Nadi Shodhana / Nine Purification Breaths
2. Viloma Pranayama
3. The 5 Elemental Pranas & Tsa Lung
4. Preparatory Asanas
This workshop is for anyone curious about yogic breathing practices, for anyone interested in discovering and experiencing the anatomy of breath, and for those interested in learning how to use pranayama in daily life to improve nervous system and mental function.
