LUMINARIA is a whimsical display of personalized bags honoring loved ones this Mother's Day. What started along the coast in Boston, Massachusetts at the historic Scituate Lighthouse in 2020, is returning once again to Boston, MA and 10 major cities across the country.
The Boston LUMINARIA will take place May 8, 2021 at the Scituate Lighthouse. With the connection of friends and family, the Boston community will be illuminated by a sparkling display of personalized bags IN MEMORY OF or IN HONOR OF loved ones with 100% if proceeds to benefit empowerHer programs. Each LUMINARIA bag , purchased by donors from across the globe for a $25 donation, will be uniquely displayed by local volunteers.

empowerHer is a nonprofit organization with a specific mission - to empower, support and connect girls of all ages who have experienced the loss of their mothers.
empowerHER is one of the only nonprofit organizations in the U.S. dedicated to serving girls of mother loss through events and mentorship. All programs and activities are provided at no charge to the family and are available both in-person and virtually.
