In this workshop, former North Andover poet laureate Gayle Heney will teach participants how to write poetry using the Museum’s collections as inspiration. As time allows, participants will be introduced to poetry prompts, stanzas, quatrains, ekphrastic poetry and experimental poetry. Depending on interest, discussion of the editing process and the option to read/perform may also be included.
