Easton Chamber Music Festival comes back for its 8th season! We are delighted to bring wonderful concerts to the community that is so supportive and welcoming to the arts.
The concerts on June 21 and 22 begin at 7:30pm. Pre-concert talk is at 7:15pm.
Students' Showcase performance on June 23 begins at 5pm.
Admission to all concerts is free.
In the first two performances on June 21 and 22, our outstanding faculty and guest artists will be featured in an eclectic array of music: touch of flawless Mozart to kick off the concerts, and then the mysterious Il Tramonto for mezzo-soprano and string quartet by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi, exuberantly romantic Octet by Polish composer Jozef Krogulski and Nonet by French composer Louise Farrenc, klezmer-brilliant Trio by American-Israeli composer Paul Shoenfield, and full of Caribbean color Danzas de Panama by African-American composer William Grant Still. In the final concert on June 23, our fifty two students will sway you by making music together in the showcase of their talents. These concerts are an opportunity for you to be part of a highest caliber classical music events and experience the art of chamber music making firsthand.
We thank Ames Free Library, Associated Chamber Music Players, Covenant Congregational Church, Easton Lions Club, Massachusetts Cultural Council (Easton, Foxboro, Mansfield, Norton, and Taunton Cultural Councils), Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, Shovel Town Cultural District Performance and Event Center, and members of local communities for their ongoing generosity and you, the audience, for attending the ECMF. Enjoy the music!
