East Boston Farmers Market

The residents of East Boston come from many different places and have many favorite foods. Our community has roots in the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa. The East Boston Farmers Market is an excellent source for the greens, herbs, fruits, and vegetables of all our traditions: tomatoes, corn and beans, hot peppers and amaranth, yierba mora, and papalo, water spinach and bok choy, pea tendrils, scallions and Asian mustard, collard greens, cilantro, peaches and apples, Italian and sweet Thai basil. Our farmers take pride in their locally grown crops so that you can have the freshest and best produce for your family's table.

Every Wednesday afternoon during the summer and fall, the Farmers Market brings together farmers and neighbors to shop, enjoy performances by local musicians, and find information on healthy eating. The Farmers Market is the place to see friends, meet your neighbors, and celebrate being a member of our diverse and vibrant community.

2018 Events
Each year the East Boston Farmers Market hosts events such as Bike Safety Day, Back to School Day, ZumbaFest, and Pumpkin Painting. Stay tuned for dates for events during the 2018 season!

Organized by the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, the Farmers Market is a convenient, affordable source for fresh fruit and vegetables, essential for healthy eating and healthy lifestyles. Acceptable payments include: cash, credit, debit, WIC coupons, Senior coupons, and SNAP/food stamps. Vouchers and coupons for shopping at farmers' markets are available for qualified families:

WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program: WIC supports farmers as well as good nutrition through the Farmers Market Nutrition Program. WIC Farmers Market coupons may be used at the East Boston Farmers Market on fresh, uncut fruits and vegetables.
