Join the Arlington Center for the Arts for the dual opening reception for our two new shows -- our annual Members Show, New Perspectives, as well as In Our Own Backyard, an exhibition of work that explores all the wonders of the Mystic River watershed.


This free, festive opening reception will provide attendees with the opportunity to view the dynamic works of art on display in both exhibits, as well as meet many of the featured artists. There will also be refreshments for all to enjoy.


New Perspectives features experimental and dynamic creative works from the talented members at Arlington Center for the Arts. These pieces feature a manipulation of perception, whether it is through point of view, juxtaposition, technical application, or enhancing focus on an underrepresented topic. Artists exhibited were invited to explore inventive viewpoints in expressive and unique ways. With unique vantage points in a communal space, New Perspectives pushes for an expansion of periphery among our community.


In Our Own Backyard explores potential solutions to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the watershed for the enjoyment of future generations. Artists in this exhibit have donated their time and talent for this unique fundraising exhibition. All of the proceeds from work sold in this show will be donated to our partner organization, Save Massachusetts Wildlife Education Fund.
