Join us for the second evening of Circular Cities Week Boston 2024 for a series of talks on policy and advocacy for circularity.

From organizational change management to tax credits, there are many ways to insight change from your organization, municipality, and legislature. On Day 2 of Circular Cities Week, we will gather for a series of talks on policy and advocacy work in the circular economy and zero waste fields.

The City of Boston's Zero Waste Team will discuss programs the city offers to handle waste-ban items such as mattresses and textiles. They will also discuss food waste, unique item collection, and the city's efforts to support individuals with circular solutions.

Hear from Circular Economy Week Boston’s keynote speaker, Representative Michelle Ciccolo, about extended producer responsibility and ways to leverage existing opportunities to Boston’s circular economy. Ask questions, be heard, and learn avenues for successful impact.

About The Keynote Speaker

Michelle Ciccolo is the State Representative for the 15th Middlesex District in Massachusetts, which includes most of the Town of Lexington, and parts of Woburn and Winchester. In early 2020, Ciccolo co-founded the bipartisan, bicameral Zero Waste Caucus, which works to reduce and eliminate solid waste in Massachusetts through legislative action, state and local collaboration, information gathering, education, and public outreach. She has a BA from Villanova University and an MS from the McCormack Graduate School of Public Policy at UMass Boston. Previously, she founded and ran runs a small consulting firm, The Ciccolo Group, which specialized in planning, community development, municipal management, permitting, and real estate development.

Free beer and wine will be served for 21+ before the panel starts. Snacks and non-alcoholic options will also be available :)
