Drawing the Self-Portrait with Artist Jenka Foreman

Open to ages 13 - 18

Class limited to 5 participants

Cost: $25.00


In this workshop you'll see examples of a wide-range of compelling and expressive self-portraits drawn and painted by famous artists such as Rembrandt, Frida Kahlo and by contemporary artists who spent countless hours looking at themselves in the mirror to make them (Rembrandt painted over a hundred self portraits). Like these artists you'll work from a mirror to observe more closely the lines and shapes of your unique features. This workshop is designed for older students with drawing experience who are up for learning a more traditional approach to self-portraiture in a relaxed and fun setting. 


Gentle yoga stretches and hand exercises will be incorporated into the session to help loosen, relax and focus our bodies and minds.


All materials will be provided by studio.
