Roll ... bounce! Rock ... skate!
Two years after her passing, we're celebrating the legacy of Donna Summer with a roller disco tribute party! Featuring Dorchester's own Kon and Friends spinning disco and funk all night long Friday, July 18th, after work, 6-10. We're putting a roller rink at city hall plaza for you!
Donna Summer is one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. Born and raised in Boston (Roxbury/Dorchester), Donna was beloved for hits like "I Feel Love," Bad Girls" and "Last Dance."
In addition to the city renting us a roller rink, Dance Spot Boston, a mobile dance floor art installation, will create a custom installation to celebrate this Boston music icon so you can boogie along to the beat.
On top of that, we've invited two of Boston's most famous Drag Queens: Frieda Fries and Nicholle Pride of Perestroika to model some of Donna's most iconic looks.
This is a free event! So make plans now to join us after-work Friday July 18th for a celebration of a legacy, a rolling skating party and four free hours of wonderful music.
Feel the love with us!
