Emerson College’s Office of Graduate Studies will host a free showing of the documentary Join or Die on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the Bright Family Theater in the Paramount Center, located at 559 Washington St., Boston. The public is invited to attend the free event.
Join or Die is a film about why you should join a club—and why the fate of America depends on it. Follow the story of America's civic unraveling through the journey of Robert Putnam, whose legendary "Bowling Alone" research into American community decline may hold the answers to our democracy's present crisis. Audience members are encouraged to stay after the film to participate in a question and answer discussion. Following the screening, a Q&A will be led by the Emerson College Graduate Studies Interim Dean, Kimberly McLarin.
