Sure, we like to study art, but we also enjoy making our own art too. As part of its continuing Do-It-Yourself event series, the Museum invites visitors to make their own works of art in and around the Museum. Inspired by the current exhibition, "Eaglemania: Collecting Japanese Art in Gilded Age America," the Museum is conducting its own Japanese embroidery workshop, also referred to as "nihon shishu." Pop in at anytime between 4:00 and 8:00 pm to try your hand at a few different stitches. No prior artistic experience is required. We’ll provide the materials, you provide the creativity.
