Dear Friends,
Our next Dharma With Dinner will be held on Friday night, November 11th from 6:30-9:00 pm. Our speaker is Ven. Miao Guang, the personal English interpreter of Venerable. Master Hsing Yun. The topic of her presentation is Dharma for Everyday Living: Humanistic Buddhism As Part of Real Life.
Ven. Master Hsing Yun is the founder of Fo Guang Shan Monastery, of which Fo Guang Buddhist Temple Boston is a branch temple. He is internationally known for his propagation of Humanistic Buddhism that brings the Buddha’s teachings from the forest and mountain temples into the communities of the lay people. Beside being the personal interpreter of Venerable Master Hsing Yun, Ven. Miao Guang is also the Director of the Department of International Affairs and Fo Guang Dictionary of Buddhism English Translation Project.
The evening will begin with meditation from 6:30-7:00 followed by dinner from 7:00-7:45 and the presentation from 7:50-9:00. The fee for this event is $12 for adults and $8 for students/seniors. Please register by an email reply ([email protected]) no later than Thursday 6pm so that we will have a tentative number of who will be attending dinner and the Dharma talk.
