Join ceramicist and artist Na'ama at her private home studio for a unique ceramic art experience. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to hand craft a beautiful ceramic tumbler using the Sgraffito method of ceramic art. This method involves scratching designs into underglazed clay to show the contrast between color and the clay body, to create one-of-a-kind designs on a usable piece of art or show piece.
💠You can bring a design of your own or I can help you with a pattern.
💠We will start with a black or blue slip on a pre made still-soft white clay form.
💠We will then use the sgraffito technique which is carving away the surface layer to reveal the white raw clay underneath .
💠This works well for illustrations, geometrical decoration and texts alike.
💠This ceramic experience is beginner-friendly and open to all.
💠After the drying period, I will bisque it and glaze your art piece for you. Your piece will be ready to be picked up after a few weeks.
