A PRESS CONFERENCE and COMMUNITY FUNERAL to honor the 11 incarcerated citizens who have suffered and died of COVID-19, and to call for sensible decarceration and an end to the inhumane and often brutal treatment of our citizens behind the walls of Massachusetts Corrections facilities. All concerned people welcome.
We ask that you wear black and a mask, and practice social distancing (6ft+). Please bring posters (no sticks) of loved ones who have died of COVID in a facility; has or had COVID in a facility; is in a facility and at risk of contracting COVID,; committed suicide in a facility; died in a facility due to negligence or brutality, or died due to police brutality in our homes and communities.
This will be a direct, peaceful CALL FOR DECARCERATION AND A CALL TO GOVERNOR BAKER, EOPS, DOC, COUNTY JAILS, and ALL BELOW THEM to commit to and follow through on ensuring our citizens' safety.
*Rain or shine (can't wait any longer for justice - Bring an umbrella if needed)
