Most acts of violence are the result of social interactions/disputes that have gone "bad". Whilst we may fear predatory individuals who set out to harm us e.g., muggers/street robbers, sexual assailants, abductors etc., the most likely potentially violent and aggressive scenarios we will face involve individuals who have become offended by something we have done, whether real or perceived e.g., we may have accidentally spilt a drink over them, inadvertently cut in front of them in a queue/line etc. Sometimes these seemingly minor injustices can become significant for those involved, and simply "undoing" what has happened is not enough i.e., an aggressor needs to be de-escalated.
In this 90-minute seminar criminologist and security professional Gershon Ben Keren, teaches a proven and effective method of de-escalation, whilst teaching basic physical self-defense solutions that work with this method.
