David’s fantasy rocketships are a whimsical yet elegant blend of repurposed antique and vintage components. From vintage fire extinguishers and garden hose nozzles to antique taillights and kitchen utensils, the individual pieces are combined in such a way as to preserve conformity of materials as well as age. The resulting “Steampunk” airships and retro-rockets have integrity that allows them to be viewed with a single aesthetic purpose, not a hodgepodge of unrelated parts.
Please Note: Due to Covid restrictions the LaunchPad at Boston Sculptors Gallery is open at a limited capacity of 10 persons in the gallery at any one time. In lieu of an artist reception, the artist will be at the gallery during special Artist Hours.
Artist Hours: Saturday, February 20, 11-1 pm
And Saturday, March 6 & 20, 11-1 pm
First Friday: March 5, 5:30-8:30 pm
Gallery Hours: Wednesday - Sunday, 11 am – 5 pm, and by appointment.
