In today’s digital world, data is considered to be the most valuable asset, including more valuable than gold or even oil. Major topics in the workshops include utilizing smartphones, researching the internet, deepening media literacy knowledge and creating media conscious consumers overall.
This event is free, but capped at 25 attendees. You will recieve the Zoom link for the event after registering.
This event is the last in a four-part series led by Ngoc-Tran Vu. Ngoc-Tran Vu (she/her) is a Vietnamese-American interdisciplinary artist and organizer whose socially engaged work draws from her experience as a community organizer, educator, and healer.
Tran threads her social practice through photography, painting, sculpture and audio so that her art can resonate and engage audience with intentionality. She received her MA in Arts and Politics at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and her BA in Ethnic Studies and Visual Arts at Brown University. Tran works across borders and is based in Boston’s Dorchester community.
Tran's other workshops this month are on creative resiliency during crisis, financial strategies for creatives, and promoting your creative practice through social media. Check out Tran's work at tranvuarts.com.
