Makers Market with Curio employees featuring acoustic guitar, eco-friendly goods, artwork & greeting cards, and sustainable lip balm.
Did you know that some of your favorite Curio employees run their own small businesses on the side? Join us for a Makers Market featuring the work of our team. To the sound of acoustic guitar, you'll get to shop sustainably made products and artwork from your favorite spice associates. Bring a friend to this perfect event to kick off your holiday shopping!
This is an open-house style event, where guests are invited to come say hello to a local, like-minded business in Curio's lab space.
Participating Businesses:
Bee Balm - In 2017, Bee Balm was born out of founder Sam’s experiences SCUBA diving in a plastic-filled ocean and by her frustration at the lack of accessible plastic-free alternatives on the market. The mission is fueled by Sam’s farming experience, which cultivated her love of pollinators and gave her a first-hand perspective on the effects of their declining numbers.
Foxfire Creative Studio offers original designs/illustrations, photography and vintage imagery printed on eco-friendly and functional home goods such as flour sack towels, tote bags, produce bags and more with a nostalgic country market feel.
Sage's Studio - Sage Dallmus is an artist, writer and community builder based in the Boston area. Her custom artwork, stationery and greeting cards are infused with a sense of whimsy and personal wisdom, intended to inspire joy in the everyday. Sage also writes a blog on the creative process and runs community-oriented events in Cambridge, and loves bringing people together through small business & creativity.
Guitarist Dan DiBacco - Fluent across many genres, Dan DiBacco uses his guitar, vocals, and songwriting to speak one of the most beloved and important universal languages – MUSIC! A member of three separate bands, Dan always feeds off of a crowd – and vice versa – finding there is often nothing more infectious than a good groove. He also thrives as a solo artist, feeling right at home with just himself and an acoustic guitar. As a teacher, Dan excels at communicating elaborate concepts to students in a clear and empathetic manner, whether they are advanced or novice. Whether you are looking for live music to make your next party or function really POP… or in need of an experienced pro to take your playing to the next level… one thing is for sure: Dan is your guy!
