Curated Cuisine is a monthly series examining all things edible, from the chefs cooking the food to the writers reviewing the recipes. Meet the people shaping the food industry, both local and national and enjoy a post-show bite inspired by the conversation.
Miyoko Schinner, CEO and founder of California-based Miyoko’s Creamery, has changed how the world thinks about vegan cheese. From cheese wheels perfect for your next party spread, to bubbling mozzarella on your pizza, Schinner and Miyoko’s Creamery have basically invented the artisanal category of plant-based cheese and butter. Schinner has also become a vocal advocate for vegan food products to remove terms like “dairy” on their labels.
Join Endless Thread co-host and senior producer Amory Sivertson in a conversation with Schinner about her culinary journey and all things vegan cheese.
Copies of Schinner's cookbook, "The Vegan Meat Cookbook: Meatless Favorites. Made with Plants" will be available for purchase from our bookstore partner Brookline Booksmith. Guests will enjoy a bite from Schinner’s cookbook and Schinner will sign books after the event.
This event is co-produced by Boston University Metropolitan College Programs in Food & Wine.
