Amidst COVID-19, artists and creatives are severely impacted. A lot of us lost gigs that were going to sustain us for months and/or maybe even the rest of the year. Come join this interactive session for artists and creatives on how to rest, stay resilient, work, collaborate, and manage our practices during such turbulent times. Let’s strategize and share best practices on adaptation and learn resources on what to do next to maintain forward momentum for ourselves and as a community.
This event is free, but capped at 25 attendees. You will recieve the Zoom link for the event after registering.
This event is the first in a four-part series led by Ngoc-Tran Vu. Ngoc-Tran Vu (she/her) is a Vietnamese-American interdisciplinary artist and organizer whose socially engaged work draws from her experience as a community organizer, educator, and healer.
Tran threads her social practice through photography, painting, sculpture and audio so that her art can resonate and engage audience with intentionality. She received her MA in Arts and Politics at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and her BA in Ethnic Studies and Visual Arts at Brown University. Tran works across borders and is based in Boston’s Dorchester community.
Tran's other workshops this month are on financial strategies for creatives, promoting your creative practice through social media, and data in the digital world. Check out Tran's work at tranvuarts.com.
