This summer, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund is celebrating 75 years of progress and impact with a new fundraiser, CowParade New England presented by Herb Chambers. Seventy-five one-of-a-kind cow sculptures designed by local artists will be prominently displayed at landmarks throughout Greater Boston from June 24 through September 4. Visitors of all ages, including residents and tourists, are encouraged to visit as many cows as possible.  

 

A full pasture map detailing the cow locations is available at CowParadeNewEngland.org/PastureMap. Cows are currently available for sponsorship and select cows will be auctioned off in August to benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This year’s CowParade New England is made possible with the support of its sponsors, including presenting sponsor Herb Chambers as well as Coca-Cola, fairlife, HomeGoods, OOFOS, Bond Brothers, Bonhams Skinner and Jordan’s Furniture, the Boston Common Pasture Sponsor. CowParade is the largest and most successful public art event in the world with 105 events in the past 24 years in more than 80 international cities. The transformative art installation features life-size cow sculptures which are hand-painted by a range of artists for public display and sold for the benefit of local nonprofit organizations. It is returning to the New England area for the first time since 2006, when it raised $1.1 million for the Jimmy Fund.  

 

All proceeds benefit The Dana-Farber Campaign, the Institute’s ongoing, multi-year fundraising effort to prevent, treat, and defy cancer by accelerating revolutionary science, extraordinary care, and exceptional expertise.
