This spring, the global spread of COVID-19 threw businesses and communities into a new reality at lightning speed. Working from home, shuttered stores, and social distancing became the new normal. Healthcare workers and essential employees risked their lives every day providing services to keep our world afloat. Corporate values were put to the test and decision makers searched for a new balance of profit and purpose.
Amongst the uncertainty and fear, there were bright spots to be found. Many businesses acclimated to this new world order with compassion and selflessness, offering free services to customers or granting flexible sick leave policies to workers. Corporate social responsibility took on a new meaning: payment plans were adjusted, operations shifted to create pandemic response equipment, workers continued to be paid.
What have we, as the business community, learned as we navigate this time? How is corporate social responsibility implemented in this time of need? And how does it change CSR strategy moving forward? Join us on June 2 as we pause and review the lessons we are learning from this global crisis about preparedness, sustainability, and community.
