On Monday, February 24, 2020 at 7pm, Coro Allegro, Boston’s LGBTQ+ and allied classical chorus, presents Shofar: A Call to Come Together, a panel discussion with the directors of three of Boston’s Jewish choruses. Join us for this free event, celebrating Jewish choral music and Robert Stern’s oratorio Shofar.
Panelists include Joshua Jacobson of the Zamir Chorale of Boston, Carol Marton of Koleinu, Boston’s Jewish Community Chorus, Derek David of A Besere Velt, of the Boston’s Workers Circle Center for Jewish Culture and Social Justice, David Hodgkins of Coro Allegro and New England Classical Singers and Catherine Madsen, author and librettist of Shofar. The event takes place in Hunneman Hall at the Public Library of Brookline, Brookline Village Branch, 361 Washington Street, Brookline, MA. Free parking is available on site.
