Essex Piano Trio is in its third season performing together as a
trio. After performing with one another in various groups for several years, these musical friends and colleagues have committed themselves to working together to develop a new level of artistry as they explore familiar cornerstones of the repertoire as well as new and old less well known works. Ashley Offret, violin, David Cabral, cello, and Beverly Soll, piano, have adopted the signature title “Conversation among Friends” for their concerts, a title which relates strongly to their approach to the music and to each other. As Cabral has observed, “Making serious chamber music can be very difficult, and it is a challenge to find partners who mesh well personally and artistically. When people see us perform, they see not only our ability but also our passion for music and that we have great affection for each other, all of which enhance our performances.”
