Beyond Zero chronicles the story of visionary entrepreneur Ray Anderson and his company, Interface, as they embarked on the seemingly impossible journey of becoming a 100-percent sustainable enterprise. Telling an equally powerful and hopeful story, this film was designed to spark action to address climate change, define corporate’s higher purpose, and serve as a roadmap to sustainable long-term transformation. Learn what it means to build a business that includes restoring the earth at the core of its mission and why we must reimagine capitalism.
Join the region’s conscious leaders to discuss current and future ESG challenges, network, and learn about sustainability and stakeholder capitalism. Following the film, join us for a live Q&A session moderated by Bob Scoville, Co-Founder and President of the Boston Chapter of Conscious Capitalism, with the film director, Nathan Havey, Lisa Conway, VP of Sustainability, Americas at Interface, and other conscious leaders from our community.
Beyond Zero showcases a path forward for businesses and their leaders who share a joint desire to build a more sustainable and equitable future. Winner of the Denver Film Festival’s 2020 People’s Choice Award for Best Documentary Feature and the Boston Film Festival’s 2020 Best Story awards, Beyond Zero is a case study for the business-for-good movement and a call to action for entrepreneurs. Moreover, the Beyond Zero team is raising funds to develop a curriculum to distribute to educational institutions at no cost to teach actionable concepts that cultivate a sustainable economy maximize the film’s impact.
Conscious Capitalism is a way of thinking about capitalism and business that better reflects where we are in the human journey, the state of our world today, and the innate potential of business to make a positive impact on the world. Conscious businesses are galvanized by higher purposes that serve, align, and integrate the interests of all their major stakeholders. Their higher state of consciousness makes visible to them the interdependencies that exist across all stakeholders, allowing them to discover and harvest synergies from situations that otherwise seem replete with trade-offs. They have conscious leaders who are driven by service to the company’s purpose, all the people the business touches, and the planet we all share together. Conscious businesses have trusting, authentic, innovative, and caring cultures that make working there a source of both personal growth and professional fulfillment. They endeavor to create financial, intellectual, social, cultural, emotional, spiritual, physical and ecological wealth for all their stakeholders.
