Amanda Hennessey is the author of Your Guide to Public Speaking, the Founder of Boston Public Speaking, San Diego Public Speaking, and the Co-Founder of Leap Media Training and Boston Acting Classes. She loves helping innovators speak with power and ease so they can change the rooms or zooms they are in without self-doubt or losing precious sleep.
Through customized corporate workshops and one-on-one coaching, Amanda helps her clients experience public speaking as an adventure with exciting risks, discoveries, and massive rewards rather than as a horror movie with terror, hiding, and dread.
She has coached a wide variety of individuals who are making waves in their industries – entrepreneurs, scientists, executives, activists, lawyers, artists, a top NYC dog trainer, and also a mountaineer who completed the Explorer’s Grand Slam. Amanda coaches members of the cast of Cook's Country & America's Test Kitchen on PBS. She also has a client who has appeared on The Today Show several times.
Amanda has led public speaking workshops at numerous organizations including UBS, Boston Children’s Hospital, MIT, and other companies and non-profits. She is also the host of the Building Confidence Podcast in which she interviews guests from a variety of backgrounds and digs deep into this juicy topic of empowerment. She received her MFA at the Actors Studio Drama School, and has acted in numerous films, plays, and commercials. Learn more about her at www.bostonpublicspeaking.com.
