Whether you’re a beginner, connoisseur or industry professional, understanding and articulating why we prefer one wine over another can be challenging. How can we identify the nuances that make a wine fruity, buttery, spicy, acidic, or dry, and how do we communicate about wine with the staff at our favorite wine shop or the sommelier at a restaurant?
Join Erika Frey, a director of the Boston Sommelier Society, for this introductory wine tasting class on Thursday May 30th from 6:30 to 8:30pm, where she will guide you through the essential aspects of wine tasting. For $85 per ticket, you will learn how to describe wine's colors, aromas, flavors, tastes and textures, and more importantly, you will gain a better understanding about what you like or dislike about certain wines and why. The class is designed to empower you with the knowledge to make more informed choices about wine, enhancing your enjoyment and confidence whether you're selecting a bottle at a store or choosing a wine to complement your meal at a restaurant.
