Calling all Barbies and Skippers! This weekend, sister restaurants Nico and Strega North End will celebrate “life in plastic, it’s fantastic” along Hanover Street in the North End. Give your Halloween costume a test drive (in your Barbie Ferrari or Jeep, of course), grab kid sister Skipper and “come on, Barbie, let’s go party.”

 

For two days, the twinning North End hotspots will serve up a collection of Barbie-approved specials with a portion of sales benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 

To drink pink ($18 per cocktail), there are glittering and sparkling cocktails – garnished with mini Barbie stilettos – including the Cotton Candy Mimosa, pink shimmer-laced rosé prosecco topped with fluffy cotton candy; Berry Piña Colada with rum, coconut, pineapple and strawberry; I Can Be Anything Spritz with Doladira liqueur and prosecco; Barbie Espresso Martini with Baileys Strawberries & Cream, espresso and vanilla vodka; and, Party Margarita, dragon berry tequila, lime and triple sec.

 

For Barbie’s breakfast ($25 per entree), dig into specials like Come On Barbie, Let’s Go Party, bacon, fried egg and cheddar on an English muffin served in a Barbie sportscar; All Pink All Day, a pink waffle topped with berries, bananas, whipped cream and strawberry Frosted Flakes; I Am Kenough with pink whipped ricotta, mixed berries, bananas, honey and croissant sticks; and, Get Your Sparkle On, mixed mini doughnuts and all the sprinkles.
