On Wednesday May 9, College Bound Dorchester will be celebrating the progress of its bold initiative Boston Uncornered at We Are Uncornered, the organization’s annual gala. Boston Uncornered moves formerly gang involved youth it calls Core Influencers from the “corners” to college, providing trained, former gang members as mentors, setting and supporting the high expectations of college and offering an education stipend for Core Influencers to focus on their education.


Up to 400 people will gather at the Gala to celebrate Boston Uncornered and the nonprofit’s 14 years of using education as a means to transform lives and develop positive leaders who drive neighborhood change from within.
