Code Wiz, the award-winning afterschool learning center designed to inspire the next generation of coding wizards, today announced the virtual grand opening of its newest location in Westborough, Mass. Code Wiz offers a curriculum in coding and robotics that allows each child to work at their own pace and achieve mastery.
"We are thrilled to bring Code Wiz to Metrowest families seeking quality STEM learning for their kids," said Ruth Agbaji, founder and CEO of Code Wiz (thecodewiz.com). “In the heart of Massachusetts and in one of the most innovative areas, Code Wiz is ready to pave the way for the next generation."
A virtual grand opening is planned for September 23rd at 7:00 p.m., featuring a virtual tour created especially for the event on Minecraft entertainment, a few words by Code Wiz Franchisee Sudhir Chaudhary, and plenty of tech-inspired breakout room fun and prizes. Families are invited to join in the fun, with special online breakout rooms designed to let kids sample CodeWiz fun with Register for the virtual grand opening event at https://bit.ly/RSVPCODEWIZ. Registered attendees will receive $50 off their first month of coding classes.
During the open house, kids ages 7-17 can try drag-and-drop coding, Python, Java, JavaScript animation, Python for Artificial Intelligence, Minecraft, Roblox Coding, Unity, and learn about new apps for Alex, Virtual Robotics Leagues, and CodeWiz’s exciting Minecraft World Builder Club.
Sudhir Chaudhary owns the newest franchisee for Code Wiz, located in Westborough Shopping Center at 30 Lyman Street. Chaudhary, a chief technology officer, and former engineer at major Mass. technology companies, is a highly skilled developer and innovative manager ready to nurture the next generation of developers and analytical thinkers through STEM education.
"I view Code Wiz as the perfect chance to inspire kids and offer an online space for STEM education just at a time when parents need additional educational resources,” said Chaudhary. “Our family-friendly events and afterschool programs are both educational and engaging, and we can’t wait to have our first class in person here in our new modern space in Westborough. We plan to host Parents' Night Out events, ‘Sip and Learn’ nights for adults, and weeklong camps during school breaks and summers… and much more,” Chaudhary said.
Code Wiz’s bright, tech-themed learning center offers six tech tracks tailored to each student’s interests and abilities from elementary through high school level students. Code Wiz offers monthly memberships and features small staff-to-student ratios, and is available for birthday parties and outings. Code Wiz kids who submit projects to their personal online portfolio earn badges and Wizbucks, which can be used to purchase merchandise from the Code Wiz store.
With programs, classes, camps, competitions, parties, and more, the center offers year-round tech classes with rolling enrollments for kids ages 7-17. Currently, the company is hosting a fall Virtual Cyber Robotics Competition – a tournament for robot builders in three levels, meeting and designing and competing in a virtual environment.
"No matter what type of online STEM learning, Code Wiz has a program for you,” said Chaudhary. “Many students are drawn to electronics and robotics, while others enjoy the challenge of writing and running code to problem solve. Either way, we have something to offer any child interested in technology and learning.”
