Beginning on Earth Day, April 22 through Sunday, April 25 from 10am to 4pm, we are inviting our community to climb Great Blue Hill and to stop by the Observatory to be counted as a participant in our "Climb for Climate Challenge."
Our goal is to encourage as many people as possible to make the "Climb for Climate Challenge" as a way to celebrate "Mother Earth" on her special day.
Once you make the climb your participation will be counted on our LED Electronic Display Board that will count up—reflecting every person who took the climb challenge—from Thursday through Sunday. For those social media savvy participants we will take your pic in front of the Observatory and post what Earth Day means to you on our social media feeds.
As we will soon be closing, this will be your last chance for a tour. We will have discounted merchandise for sale such as science games, clothing, kites and more. Those who wish to fly a kite at the Observatory are welcome to do so—
as long as the wind is up!
