We know… healthcare reform is complicated.
This is why we’ve brought together two American healthcare policy experts to help us understand it. We’ll unpack the major issues regarding health reform and insurance, and discuss existing and proposed approaches to creating affordable access to healthcare in the U.S.
In this session, we’ll:
Break down the top health policy dilemmas and major health insurance reforms currently being debated in Congress
Unpack the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) and the GOP’s “repeal and replace” proposals
Look at the “winners” and “losers” of each policy (and how they affect you)
Help you figure out which healthcare coverage issues are important to you, and where you stand
At Civic Series, we help you think for yourself, so that if you disagree with a particular health reform policy, you’ll know why.
Our speakers will give a 40 minute overview, followed by extensive Q&A and discussion. Hang out after the event for drinks, snacks, and good convo.

Profs. Mary Ann Chirba and Alice A. Noble literally wrote the book on the Affordable Care Act. No, really, literally: they co-authored, Health Care Reform: Law and Practice – A Comprehensive Guide to the Affordable Care Act. They teach at the Boston College Law School on issues of health law and policy.
