See the restoration that brought beauty and elegance back to this century-old theater. The Citizens Bank Opera House is among the world’s finest examples of vaudeville-era opulence and quality detailing. It is the only surviving work in Boston by distinguished American theater architect, Thomas Lamb.
The 1 hour historical guided tour is a wonderful education opportunity for adults and older children. The tour encompasses historical and architectural highlights of the building including the grand lobby areas and the majestic auditorium. Learn about how the theater operates today and what it takes to put on a modern day production!
Looking for more than Historical information? We are now offering Backstage Tours as an add-on purchase of $10 to any Historical Tour. After the Historical Tour, follow the docent backstage for a 25 minute guided walk of our space. See where the excitement comes to life!
