Indie folk singer-songwriter Chris Bathgate first made his name in Ann Arbor, Michigan's local music scene. Local label Quite Scientific released his first album, A Cork Tale Wake, in 2007, and the music garned him attention here and in the United Kingdom. After that, Bathgate went on several solo tours of Europe and continued releasing albums through Quite Scientific, including his most popular album to date, Salt Year (2011). He has toured the United States extensively, performed in one of NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts, and played at South by Southwest. After a two-year hiatus from performing, during which time he worked on a project called SKULLS, made performance videos, and kept on writing new music, Bathgate is now returning to touring. His latest EP, Old Factory, comes out in early 2016.

Singer-songwriter and Berklee student Stephanie Parsons and Spotted Tiger open the show. Led by the songwriting of violist Laurence Scudder and guitarist Erik White, Spotted Tiger is rounded out by a malleable, all-star combination of Boston-area players. Together they play an inspiring variety of originals and hand-picked covers.
