The beautiful service of Evensong is a combination of the monastic offices of Vespers (sung at sunset) and Compline (sung before bedtime). Musical components of Evensong include psalms, hymns, anthems, and the canticles Magnificat and Nunc dimittis. This exquisite service is an ancient, sacred method of singing praise to the Creator at the close of day, and through song offering our adoration, our efforts, and our very selves in an ancient tradition of the church.
