Classmates, fraternity brothers, and longtime friends Alex Nagy and CJ Waldrop have formed the Chop Break Duo. They will present five concerts of music for trumpet and piano this summer, starting with these two in the greater Boston area.


Admission is free of charge. The show will last about an hour and will feature the music of composers including Jean Françaix, Joseph Haydn, Marisa Youngs, Kevin McKee, Marcus Grant, and Herman Bellstedt. This is a casual concert where Alex and CJ can share music, both as soloists and as a duo, with their friends, families, and communities. They feel that these selections will include something for everyone.


The Boston shows are the first two installations of Chop Break Duo’s first East Coast Tour with upcoming performances in Greenville, SC, Winston-Salem, NC, and Tallahassee, FL.
