Welcome to the Renaissance, where the Black Plague has given way to the Puritans, farthingales and codpieces rule the fashion scene, and England’s biggest celebrity is a playwright named William Shakespeare. In the midst of all this drama, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom find themselves locked in a fierce rivalry with the Bard as they strive to create the world’s first-ever “musical.” Something Rotten! is a hilarious, exuberant celebration of everything you love about Broadway.
