PARK(ing) Day 2019 will bring together over 80 community groups, nonprofit organizations, businesses, artists, and City of Cambridge programs to celebrate community and all things Cambridge. Join us on Friday, September 20 as we celebrate this international event.
What is PARK(ing) Day?
PARK(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where residents, artists and activists collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. The project began in 2005 when Rebar, a San Francisco art and design studio, converted a single metered parking space into a temporary public park in downtown San Francisco. PARK(ing) Day has since evolved into a global movement.
