Come visit us on Observatory Hill, and see what the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian has been discovering about our Universe! Cambridge Explores the Universe invites space scientists of all ages to explore the wonder of the universe together at this out-of-this-world astronomy extravaganza, and meet researchers, scientists, and staff who will help you to explore the mysteries of deep space!
Take part in special visits to our telescopes, solar observing, and hands-on activities. Learn about our historic photographic plate stacks, and listen to music inspired by our search for other worlds. This is an opportunity to ask our experts all of your burning questions about space and the universe at our "Ask an Astronomer" tables, and find out the latest discoveries about the sun, exoplanets, and black holes.
Visitors to Cambridge Explores the Universe can also take their own telescope images using our robotic telescopes, or go on a virtual tour of space using the World Wide Telescope visualization.
This year will be extra special as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary as the Center for Astrophysics – You won’t want to miss it!
It’s out of this world!
